Law School Rankings





Selecting a law school to attend can be a difficult decision. Not only will the impact of school where you live during your college days, but the location of schools is usually a place where many new graduates finally find a job. There are 194 accredited law schools in the United States. Have compiled a list of top 10 law schools in the country, according to research by Gourman Report and U.S. News and World Report.


Gourman report is the first academic report determined that measures the academic quality of school leavers and graduates. The founder, Dr. Gourman, is a professor at Cal State-Northridge, and unfortunately, recent findings (the bottom) is from 1997. U.S. News and World Report is a report of the most popular for most professions, including all the national law school rankings. Ranking below carried out in 2010.


Below is a chart comparing the two reports. You will see that although the report is 13 years apart, not much has changed, since 8 out of 10 schools Gourman Report ranked among the Top 10 this year U.S. News and World Report top ranked law school. Incidentally, Duke and Cornell is ranked # 11 and # 13 for this year's U.S. News and World Report top ranked law school.
